System Engineer (Armed UAV Systems) - (5897)

We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to take ownership of an advanced armed UAV platform. This position involves full lifecycle responsibility for multidisciplinary projects — from concept and requirements definition, through system architecture, hardware and software design, payload integration, testing, qualification, and customer deployment. The role requires a strong multidisciplinary mindset and the ability to lead complex technological efforts, aligning R&D, product, testing, and production teams toward shared goals while driving the continuous evolution of the UAV platform’s capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a coherent, modular, and scalable system roadmap for the UAV platform, supporting both current and future projects.
  • Translate operational and project needs into system-level specifications and executable development plans.
  • Define system interfaces and allocate requirements between subsystems (avionics, payload, communications, armament, etc.).
  • Plan and oversee integration, validation, ground tests, flight tests, and qualification processes — ensuring full traceability from requirements to testing.
  • Conduct performance analysis, troubleshoot system-level issues, and drive continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage system documentation, including design rationales, trade-offs, and test results (SRS, ICD, ATP, test plans, etc.).
  • Lead technical and design reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and participate in safety and certification processes.

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Electrical, Software, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering – mandatory.
  • M.E. in Systems Engineering – an advantage.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a System Engineer working on multidisciplinary systems.
  • Hands-on experience with software-intensive systems that include sensors, embedded computing, AI, and communications.
  • Relevant background in the defense industry; familiarity with MIL-STD systems engineering methodologies, reliability, and safety principles.
  • Experience with UAV or airborne systems – a strong advantage.
  • Proven knowledge in integration, verification, and validation processes.
  • Experience leading and supporting field and flight tests.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on, analytical, and mission-driven approach with a passion for delivering complete systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to bridge multiple disciplines and stakeholders effectively.
