Chief Systems Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Chief Systems Engineer to lead the definition, architecture, and technical execution of space-based System-of-Systems. This role is responsible for driving system development from mission concept and requirements definition through integration, qualification, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Define mission concepts, system architecture, and operational requirements. Own system requirements, interface definitions, performance budgets, and technical baselines. Lead system-level trade studies and critical architectural decisions. Manage interfaces with spacecraft platforms, payloads, ground systems, and external stakeholders. Lead major engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and technical risk assessments. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, avionics, communications, mechanical, and integration domains. Oversee verification, validation, integration, and qualification activities.

Requirements

M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline. 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience in complex aerospace, defense, or space programs. Proven experience in system architecture, requirements management, interface control, and engineering leadership. Hands-on experience with system specifications, ICDs, verification planning, and technical reviews. High proficiency in English.
