System engineer - RF (6437)

Senior RF Technology Leadership Role

We are seeking an exceptional RF expert to take ownership of the RF domain within a multidisciplinary hardware development team, driving the design and development of advanced communication systems.

This is a highly influential technical leadership position for a hands-on engineer who combines deep RF expertise with the ability to lead complex developments from concept through integration and validation. The role includes significant laboratory work, system-level responsibility, and technical mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for RF and antenna technologies within the hardware organization.
• Lead the design and development of advanced RF communication systems.
• Define RF architectures and communication chains from concept to implementation.
• Design, simulate, optimize, and validate antennas and antenna arrays.
• Perform hands-on RF integration, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Work extensively with advanced RF laboratory equipment and measurement systems.
• Own end-to-end RF system performance and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, mechanics, and algorithm teams.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance across development teams.
• Manage technical interactions with external suppliers and subcontractors in RF and antenna-related fields.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in RF engineering and communication systems development.
• Proven hands-on experience designing and developing RF systems.
• Strong background in antenna design and antenna system development.
• Extensive experience working with RF test and measurement equipment, including:

• Vector Network Analyzers (VNA)
• Spectrum Analyzers
• Signal Generators
• Additional RF laboratory instrumentation

• Hands-on experience with RF integration, validation, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with RF simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, and/or ADS.
• Deep understanding of RF architectures, link budget analysis, and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Demonstrated ability to combine technical leadership with daily hands-on engineering work.
• High-level technical English communication skills.
