A leading global medical device company is seeking an experienced V&V Manager to establish, lead, and grow its V&V function.

In this role, you will build the V&V team from the ground up, define methodologies and best practices, and lead end-to-end verification and validation activities for complex multidisciplinary medical systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including System Engineering, Software, Hardware, Mechanical Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, Operations, and Manufacturing to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant products.

Responsibilities: • Build, lead, and mentor a growing V&V team • Define and implement V&V methodologies, processes, and testing strategies • Lead verification and validation activities for complex medical devices combining multiple technologies • Develop and execute validation plans, test protocols, and traceability documentation • Ensure compliance with global medical device regulations and standards • Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, automation capabilities, and quality processes • Support the entire product lifecycle, from development through manufacturing transfer and post-market activities • Collaborate with Operations and NPI teams to ensure successful manufacturing validation • Manage external certified laboratories for safety, EMC, and environmental compliance testing

Requirements: • B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related scientific discipline • Minimum 5 years of experience leading V&V, QA, or testing activities for complex multidisciplinary systems • Proven experience within the medical device industry • Hands-on experience with systems integrating multiple technologies such as laser, RF, ultrasound, or similar physical technologies • Previous experience in a senior technical leadership role, or demonstrated leadership potential • Strong knowledge of V&V methodologies within regulated environments (FDA, CE, ISO 13485) • Familiarity with IEC 60601 and IEC 62304 standards – significant advantage • Experience with ALM platforms, defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira), test automation frameworks, MATLAB, Python, or similar tools – advantage • Strong systems-level thinking and understanding of complex multidisciplinary products • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills • Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-growing environment • High level of ownership, organizational skills, and attention to detail
