Navigation & Tracking Systems Engineer

About the role A leading defense technology company is looking for a Systems Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing advanced navigation, tracking, and sensing solutions for airborne platforms. The role combines system engineering, sensor technologies, and hands-on technical work in complex products operating in demanding environments.

Responsibilities • Lead the definition and development of navigation and tracking capabilities for advanced airborne systems • Work with inertial sensors, GNSS technologies, and tracking components throughout the product lifecycle • Define test methodologies, calibration processes, and performance validation activities • Collaborate with software, hardware, algorithm, and system engineering teams • Analyze system performance and support the integration of sensing technologies into operational products • Participate in technical investigations, design reviews, and technology evaluations

Requirements • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field • At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering or development of complex technological systems • Experience with navigation, tracking, sensing, or positioning technologies • Hands-on experience working with hardware-oriented systems • Familiarity with INS, IMU, GNSS, GPS, or related technologies • Experience with Matlab or Python • Strong analytical and system-level thinking capabilities • High level of English and willingness to travel abroad

Advantages • Experience with inertial systems or inertial measurement technologies • Background in airborne systems, UAVs, robotics, or defense programs • Experience developing navigation or tracking algorithms
