R&D Mechanical Instruments Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in medical device development, precision engineering, and plastic injection molding processes, with the ability to lead products through full development and manufacturing transfer cycles to join an innovative company in the robotics and medical technology field.

The role involves the development of highly precise medical instruments and complex mechanical products - from early concept stages through prototyping and mass production.

Responsibilities Design and develop precision medical instruments and mechanical systems in a dynamic R&D environment. Lead full product development activities from concept definition, detailed design, prototyping, testing, and validation through manufacturing and production transfer. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers, particularly in plastic injection molding and production processes. Support manufacturability, tooling, and DFM activities for high-precision components. Ensure products meet engineering, quality, sterilization, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including R&D, manufacturing, quality, operations, and suppliers. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, test protocols, reports, ECOs, and technical documentation. Drive continuous product improvements and engineering changes.

Requirements B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development. Experience developing medical devices, surgical tools, or other precision medical products. Strong experience with injection molding and design for mass production. Experience working with plastic manufacturers and production transfer processes. Understanding of regulated development environments and high-precision engineering. Strong proficiency with SolidWorks. Experience with PLM systems and ECO/ECN processes.
