Software Engineer Team Lead (6393)

A global provider of cloud-native network intelligence and service assurance solutions is building out a new R&D site in Northern Israel. The team develops high-performance telecom protocol processing and analytics that provide real-time visibility for large mobile network operators (4G/5G/IMS). We are looking for a Software Engineer Team Lead to lead and contribute hands-on to the development of protocol-processing components in modern C++ on Linux, with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. You will guide a small team, drive technical design, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver production-grade capabilities.

Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers; set engineering standards and best practices. • Design and implement high-performance protocol processing components in modern C++. • Analyze and implement telecom protocols (e.g., GTP, Diameter, SIP, PFCP, HTTP/2, NAS). • Build software for high-throughput probes/analytics pipelines; optimize for latency and throughput. • Conduct design and code reviews; ensure code quality, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements: • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field • 3+ years of experience in C++ software development • Strong experience with modern C++ (C++11 and above) • Experience with multi-threaded, high-performance systems – Advantage • Experience developing on Linux • Strong networking knowledge & experience with telecom EPC, 5GC, IMS protocols such as: GTP, Diameter, SIP, PFCP, HTTP/2, RTP etc.
