Systems Engineer – Unmanned Aerial Platforms

About the position A fast-growing drone company is expanding its engineering group and is looking for a Systems Engineer to take part in the development of advanced airborne solutions. The role involves working on complex unmanned platforms, combining system thinking with hands-on engineering across multiple disciplines.

What you’ll be doing • Drive full lifecycle system activities for unmanned aerial and ground platforms – from concept to deployment • Define system architecture, write technical specifications, and support design validation processes • Lead integration efforts and participate in system-level verification, including field experiments • Work closely with engineering teams across software, hardware, mechanics, and flight sciences • Interface with customers in Israel and abroad and support delivery of large-scale engineering programs • Influence system design decisions and contribute to future product directions

What we’re looking for • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific field • 3+ years in system engineering or technical leadership within complex multidisciplinary environments • Experience with aerial systems such as UAVs, VTOL platforms, or similar – strong advantage • Background in system integration and cross-team coordination in matrix organizations • Familiarity with domains such as propulsion, navigation, control systems, sensors, or payloads • Experience in operational environments (e.g., flight operations / drone units) – advantage • Strong English skills, including technical writing and customer-facing communication • Ability to lead processes, work across multiple interfaces, and deliver results
