Engineering Team Lead (6111)

We are looking for an experienced R&D Team Lead to take ownership of a long‑standing Core Product — a mission‑critical, monolithic C‑based system developed and evolved over the past years. This product serves as the technological foundation of the company’s media‑technology platform. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a technically strong engineer who enjoys diving deep into complex architectures and driving modernization. You will lead a team of four developers.

Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed engineering team. Gain deep understanding of a large legacy codebase and its architecture. Develop and execute plans for refactoring, modernization, and long‑term maintainability. Work hands‑on with C (or leverage strong C++ experience while transitioning to C). Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance. Work on Linux‑based development, including building system components and integrating 3rd‑party libraries. Collaborate with senior technical leadership to shape product evolution and infrastructure strategy. Support potential future decomposition of the monolithic system and migration toward containerized or Kubernetes‑based orchestration.

Requirements: 5+ years of hands‑on experience in C or C++ in complex, high‑performance environments. At least 2 years of experience leading an R&D team Solid understanding of Linux internals and system‑level development. Strong networking knowledge: Layer 3 and above, including HTTP, streaming protocols such as HLS, and general IP‑based communication. Experience working with large legacy codebases and performing major refactoring projects. Excellent analytical and communication skills.
